Frequently Asked Questions
how many sessions does treatment last on average?
This really depends on each client and their presenting concerns. Some concerns may only take a few sessions to resolve. Other concerns are more complex and may warrant longer term treatment. Upon meeting and conducting an initial consultation, I will be able to provide you some impressions about our work and the length of treatment. Of course, this is only an estimate and will be contingent upon a number of factors, which will require continued evaluation of progress.
What Payment Methods Do you Accept?
I accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA. Payment is expected at the time of service.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. Insurance requires a diagnosis, and that treatment meet their definition of medical necessity in order to be eligible for reimbursement of services. Many people I work with are confronted with experiences of stress, overwhelm, and uncertainty, but do not meet the full criteria for a clinical diagnosis. I want to provide the best possible interventions for the symptoms you are experiencing, which is why I accept private pay only.
In some cases, clients do meet the criteria for a clinical diagnosis and treatment may be covered by their insurance plan. I can provide you with a superbill, which is an itemized form used by healthcare providers for services rendered. You can submit a superbill to your insurance company to seek reimbursement directly.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
You may cancel a session with 24 hours notice. Appointment times are booked exclusively for you. For this reason if you do not attend a scheduled session or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be billed a $50 fee at time of service.
